The story behind Seafire

Summer of 1995. A sailing trip. A night under an open sky. A swim in the sea – and suddenly: bioluminescence. Microscopic algae lighting up the dark water. This became the beginning and inspiration of the Seafire jewellery for Josephine Bergsøe.

Movement, light, and craftsmanship

In our Copenhagen workshop, each ring is shaped by hand. The curves follow an organic rhythm, and the settings are placed so the stones sparkle like sunlight on water. Diamonds bring clarity, while coloured gemstones – from sapphires to emeralds – add warmth and contrast. White gold is used in selected designs to create a refined interplay between colours and metals.
