Twisted Ring

The “Twisted Ring” is probably my signature piece. I've made it since I was a teenager. Forming and twisting various metals into unlikely shapes, using pliers and nails, and adding pearls and seashells to soften the impression. During my apprenticeship, when I was taught how to solder and use precious metals, the twisted ring developed into something less dangerous to wear. And during the years from 1987-90 I was experimenting with soldering fine-gold onto silver, which is the technique that is still the foundation in developing each ring. And even though I've probably made more than 2000 twisted rings over the years- there’s not two similar..
